Description
A pregnancy massage is ideal when a baby bump prevents you from comfortably laying flat on your back or stomach during a massage. It uses specific positioning and extra support to ensure your comfort and safety. Growing a baby is hard work that causes discomfort in nearly every pregnant person I’ve ever encountered, making it hard to sleep well. A ninety-minute pregnancy massage is a great way to manage pregnancy-related muscle pain while you catch up on much-needed rest. Every session should be what YOU want, so your feedback is critical before and during your session. Please keep me updated on your goals and progress, and let me know if I can make any changes to improve your experience.

Cancellations Unkinked Massage Therapy has a 24-hour cancellation policy for all appointments. You will be charged a cancellation fee if you fail to attend, cancel, or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice. Please call or text to cancel or reschedule. Punctuality Please arrive AT MOST five to ten minutes before your appointment to discuss your goals and prepare for the session. You’ll receive the remainder of your scheduled appointment if you're late. Sick Policy If you’re sick (i.e., fever, chills, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, severe cough, or runny nose), contact me immediately to reschedule. If I’m sick, I’ll provide you with the same courtesy. If you arrive exhibiting flu-like symptoms, I will politely send you home and charge the cancellation fee. Inclusivity In my practice, everyone is welcome. I serve people regardless of age, race, religion, body type, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, neurodiversity, or disability. Every session is free of judgment, and I strive to be mindful of my interactions with clients of varying backgrounds and cultures. I continuously learn from those I serve and aim to be accountable by welcoming feedback with grace and using it to become a better ally. Hate Speech Racism, homophobia, misogyny, or discrimination of any kind is unacceptable. Hate makes us tense, and I won't tolerate it in my practice. All parties will conduct themselves respectfully and treat everyone courteously, or I will end the session with full payment. Harassment Requests for sexual activity, attempting to touch your massage therapist, humping the table, exposing yourself, or making inappropriate comments are harassment. If you harass me, I will terminate the session immediately with full payment, report you to the police, and circulate your name among other local therapists. (I don't allow my colleagues to be harassed, either.) Scope of Practice Scope refers to the specific services and techniques massage therapists can provide. It includes various massage modalities, assessing health history and current condition, developing treatment plans based on the client’s needs, and providing appropriate care within the limits of our expertise. A massage therapist does not diagnose disease or illness, prescribe medications, or perform spinal manipulations. Risks of Massage Therapy Though generally considered safe, massage therapy has potential risks associated with it. Some mild side effects are common, such as slight dizziness, soreness, or bruising. Other more severe side effects are rare but possible, including nerve lesions, exacerbation of injury, headaches or migraines, dislodging blood clots, fractures, stretching injuries, and spinal cord injury. Medical History When you book an appointment at Unkinked, I ask you to complete a new client assessment, which includes questions about your medical history and reason for seeking a massage. The risks of severe side effects increase when clients withhold their medical history. Therefore, informing me of your medical conditions, injuries, and medications is necessary. Confidentiality As a massage therapist, I provide a safe space where clients can share sensitive information. I understand the importance of confidentiality, value your trust, and take your privacy seriously. For this reason, I never share your personal information or health concerns.
